WAYS TO HELP

Partners

Clorox Logo
The Clorox Company and The What To Expect Foundation are proud of their partnership to help all families know "what to expect".   There are two components to this partnership:
  • Healthy Home Social Marketing Campaign
Image of the What to Expect Guide to a Health Home bookHeidi Murkoff the mom who wrote What to Expect and the President of the What To Expect Foundation created "The WhatTo Expect Guide To A Healthy Home" so families would understand how to stop the spread of germs and flu in their homes.  Thanks to Clorox, this 16-page guide (available in English and Spanish) is free for families and organizations such as schools, daycare centers, and hospitals.  Over 150,000 free guides have been distributed since the program's launch in 2005.   Heidi and Clorox are continuing to work together to ensure that families know what to expect during cold and flu season - and all year ‘round!

  • Supporting Baby Basics for pregnant moms
Xiao Bao Bao (Chinese) BookcoverThe Clorox Company has provided a grant of $1 million to The What To Expect Foundation to support the Baby Basics Program.  Clorox's donation has helped to fund the printing of Xiao Bao Bao, our Chinese version of the book and program, as well as the translations of the Baby Basics Planners into 12 more languages.  In addition, the Baby Basics Program will be available to even more mothers across the country thanks to Clorox's support.  We are more than grateful, and look forward to continuing to work together to help every family know what to expect when expecting.  Thanks Clorox!

Glaxo Smithkline
Immunization Campaign
In the fall of 2007 The What To Expect Foundation and GlaxoSmithKline will launch the What To Expect Immunization Campaign.  The cornerstone of the program is the 16-page booklet The What To Expect Guide To Immunizations, a free guide and planner that gives parents (and pediatricians) a comprehensive source for understanding and tracking their child's vaccinations.  Thanks to GSK, pediatricians across the country will receive copies of the guide to give to parents, and will learn how to use this tool to ensure that every parent knows what to expect and why it's so important that their child receives the "right shot at the right time."

Supporting a Pediatric Baby Basics Program
The GSK Foundation has given The What To Expect Foundation a grant of $1 million to support our new pediatric program.  We are currently creating a Baby's First Year Basics guide and program that will take the Baby Basics Program from pregnancy into parenting.  We are very excited to build the First Year Program to help underserved families know what to expect as they grow to become confident parents.  The finished books will be available in 2008.
